Amphoe Nong Song Hong ( Thai : อำเภอ หนองสองห้อง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of Khon Kaen Province . The province of Khon Kaen is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise): Amphoe Phon , Non Sila , Ban Phai and Pueai Noi in the province of Khon Kaen, Amphoe Na Chueak the province of Maha Sarakham who Amphoe Na Pho , Phutthaisong and Ban Mai Chaiyaphot of Buriram Province , and Amphoe Prathai the province of Nakhon Ratchasima .

history

Nong Song Hong was initially set up as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) on January 1, 1962 , by separating the four tambon Takua Pa, Nong Mek, Non That and Khuemchat from the Amphoe Phon. On July 16, 1963, it was promoted to Amphoe.
