Amphoe Khao Suan Kwang ( Thai : อำเภอ เขา สวน กวาง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Khon Kaen . The province of Khon Kaen is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Amphoe Nam Phong and Ubolratana in the province of Khon Kaen, Amphoe Non Sang of the province of Nong Bua Lamphu , and Amphoe Nong Wua So , Nong Saeng and Non Sa-at the Udon Thani province .

history

Khao Suan Kwang was first established in 1978 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from the Nam Phong district. On March 16, 1985, it was promoted to Amphoe.

traffic

Khao Suan Kwang has a train station on the northeast line of the Thai Railway ( Nakhon Ratchasima – Nong Khai route ). The Thanon Mittraphap ("Street of Friendship"; National Road 2) leads through the eastern part of the district .

• Khao Suan Kwang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขา สวน กวาง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Khao Suan Kwang and Kham Muang.
