Amphoe Nong Wua So (in Thai อำเภอ หนองวัวซอ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the west of Udon Thani Province . The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Isan , the northeast region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the north): the Amphoe Kut Chap , Mueang Udon Thani and Nong Saeng in the province of Udon Thani, Amphoe Khao Suan Kwang in the province of Khon Kaen , and the Amphoe Non Sang and Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu in the province of Nong Bua Lamphu .

history

Nong Wua So was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on April 16, 1971 , separating it from the Mueang Udon Thani district . On April 1, 1974, it was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

There are six small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the county:

  • Nong Wua So ( เทศบาล ตำบล หนองวัวซอ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Nong Wua So and Mak Ya,
  • Phu Pha Daeng ( เทศบาล ตำบล ภูผา แดง ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Nong O and Non Wai
  • Up Mung ( เทศบาล ตำบล อู บ มุง ), consisting of the entire tambon Up Mung.
  • Non Wai ( เทศบาล ตำบล โนน หวาย ), consisting of the remaining parts of the Tambon Non Wai,
  • Kut Mak Fai ( เทศบาล ตำบล กุด หมาก ไฟ ), consisting of the whole tambon Kut Mak Fai,
  • Nong Bua Ban ( เทศบาล ตำบล หนองบัว บาน ), consisting of the entire Tambin Nong Bua Ban and other parts of the Tambon Nong Wua So.

There are also three “Tambon Administrative Organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
