Amphoe Phibun Rak ( Thai : อำเภอ พิบูลย์ รักษ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Udon Thani . The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Isan , the northeast region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from north): Nong Han , Chai Wan , Si That , Kumphawapi and Prachaksinlapakhom district . All Amphoe are in Udon Thani Province.

history

Phibun Rak was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on April 1, 1992 by separating three tambon from the Nong Han district . On October 11, 1997, it was promoted to Amphoe.
