Amphoe Sang Khom ( Thai : อำเภอ สร้างคอม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of Udon Thani Province . The province of Udon Thani is located in Isan , the northeast region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are (from the southeast clockwise): Amphoe Ban Dung and Phen in Udon Thani province and Amphoe Phon Phisai the province of Nong Khai .

history

Sang Khom was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on May 15, 1075 by separating the three tambon Sang Khom, Ban Yuat and Chiang Da from the Amphoe Phen . On May 21, 1990, it was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

There are three small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the county:

  • Sang Khom ( เทศบาล ตำบล สร้างคอม ), consisting of the entire Tambon Sang Khom,
  • Ban Yuat ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ยวด ), consisting of the entire tambon Ban Yuat,
  • Ban Khok ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โคก ), consisting of the entire tambon Ban Khok.

There are also three "Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Administrative Organizations) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
