Amphoe Non Sang ( Thai : อำเภอ โนนสัง , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː nōːn sǎŋ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of the province of Nong Bua Lamphu . The province of Nong Bua Lamphu is located in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Neighboring counties and areas are (clockwise from west): the Amphoe Si Bun Rueang and Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu in the province of Nong Bua Lamphu, Amphoe Nong Wua So in the province of Udon Thani , as well as the Amphoe Khao Suan Kwang , Ubolratana , Phu Wiang and Nong Na Kham of Khon Kaen Province .

On the southern edge of the district is the bank of the Ubol-Ratana reservoir .

history

The area of ​​today's Non Sang County was originally a tambon of the Amphoe Mueang Nong Bua Lamphu . On January 1, 1948, he was made a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) , which was promoted to an Amphoe on June 9, 1956.
