Amphoe Suwannakhuha ( Thai : อำเภอ สุวรรณคูหา , pronunciation: ʔām.pʰɤ̄ː sù.wān.nā.kʰūː.hǎː ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of the province of Nong Bua Lamphu . The province of Nong Bua Lamphu is located in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring counties and areas are (clockwise from south): Amphoe Na Klang in Nong Bua Lamphu Province, Na Duang District in Loei Province , and Nam Som , Ban Phue and Kut Chap in Udon Thani Province .

history

Suwannakhuha was initially set up on July 17, 1973 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating the three tambon Na Si, Ban Khok and Na Di from the Amphoe Na Klang . It was promoted to Amphoe on March 25, 1979. In 1993, Suwannakhuha was one of the five counties in Udon Thani Province that made up the new Nong Bua Lam Phu Province.

Local administration

There are five municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Na Di (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาดี ) consists of the entire tambon Na Di.
  • Na Dan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา ด่าน ) consists of the entire Tambon Na Dan.
  • Bun Than (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บุญ ทัน ) consists of the entire Tambon Bun Than.
  • Ban Khok (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โคก ) consists of parts of the Tambon Ban Khok.
  • Suwannakhuha (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สุวรรณคูหา ) consists of parts of the tambon Suwannakhuha, Na Si and Kut Phueng.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):
