Mondotek was a German music project, originally consisting of the DJs Danny Daagard (real Dragan Hecimovic ) and Steve Morane (real Stephan Endemann ). The duo was known by various other artist names , including Elysee , Inspiration Vibes , Mikado Punchers , Mondo , Daagard & Morane and Comiccon . After Daagard left the project in 2009, some of the artist names of the duo were continued solo by Morane until 2012.

Career

After both DJs began to produce music together in 2002 and also founded the music production company Meganu Music, they released pieces of music from all different types of electronic music under various different pseudonyms. They achieved their first chart success with the single Comiccon - Komodo , the cover of the song of the same name by Mauro Picotto reached position eleven in Finland in mid-2007. They were also involved in the song Dicke Anna of the Kid Bob project, which parodied the bass hunter song Boten Anna and reached the top 40 in Germany and Austria.

From 2004 to 2007 the duo brought out eight editions of the compilation series Hardstyle Session as Mikado Punchers . A ninth compilation was released in 2007 under the title Hands Up for Hardstyle .

The greatest success was with the Tecktonik song Mondotek - Alive! which was published at the end of 2007. The single reached number two in France and Belgium (Wallonia) , while it was less successful in German-speaking countries.

The 2008 published Mondotek remix for the single One Desire from Jakarta , also in the Tecktonik style, brought this increased sales success, so that the single reached the top ten in France and Belgium. Mondotek's successor single D-Generation, however, fell short of expectations and only reached number 36 in France.

In 2009, Daagard withdrew completely from the music business, after which some pseudonyms such as Mondotek and Mondo were still used for Morane's solo projects. In 2012 he finally put down all remains of the former project, which thus ceased to exist.
