Tom Novy (* 10. March 1970 in Kaufbeuren as Thomas Reichold ) is a German House - DJ and - producer .

life and career

Tom Novy released his first single in 1995 with the title I House You on the Munich electronic label Kosmo Records , which entered the Top 10 of the German Dance Charts . A year later he achieved international attention with the single Superstar , which rose to 15th place on the Media Control charts in Germany and took a top position in 18 other countries. The house anthem I Rock 1999 was in the Media Control Charts for more than 10 weeks and the Airplay Top 100 for over 20 weeks.

In 2000 Tom Novy was the first German DJ to mix the Ministry of Sound Annual Compilation . The opener of his 2001 debut album My Definition was Welcome to the Race (official Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Nürburgring track ) with singer Lima Ben-Jannet .

The single Take It was the most played dance number on German radio in 2005. His release, Your Body, starring singer Mike Marshall, entered the UK top 10 in December 2005 and made it to the top 15 in over 20 countries.

To this day, Tom Novy u. a. for 10cc , Baby Bash , Backstreet Boys , DJ Thomilla , Erick Morillo , Jimmy Somerville , Joachim Germany , Sander Kleinenberg , SNAP! , Stephan Remmler ( Trio ), Ludacris , Marianne Rosenberg , Mousse T. , Moonbootica , Rosenstolz , Justin Timberlake and Sonique .

Tom Novy presented various TV shows, including the Dance Floor Charts , Streetlife , Battle of DJ’s and Nightlife on MTV Germany . Further moderations were the MTV Battle of DJ’s (2003) and the Mac Chart Show (2004) on ProSieben .

Since May 2010 Novy can be seen regularly on the web show of Raveline magazine called Raveline-TV, together with editor-in-chief Sven Schäfer.

Even as an unknown DJ, he was playing on the radio: as guest DJ of Heinz Felber on Clubnight . In addition, he mixed a weekly radio show on FFN and since 1998 for Radio Energy Munich and from March 2006 for Radio Energy Germany. From January 2009 he could be heard on the radio at egoFM in Bavaria. Since 2020 he has been moderating live every Thursday evening at 95.5 Charivari .

Tom Novy lives in Munich and runs the Hausfreund music restaurant there together with the former club owner Ali Ershadi ( Bullitt Club ) .
