Kosmo Music
Kosmo Music GmbH is a recording company based in Munich . It was established in 1995. In the same year the first releases appeared under the label Kosmo Records . Further labels are Konsum Records , Chet Records and Afrojam Music .
history
Kosmo Records was founded in 1995 in a backyard in the Haidhausen district of Munich . Initially planned as an output channel and support for the Munich DJ scene in close cooperation with the techno magazine Partysan , the independent label developed into one of the leading players among international dance labels within a few years. The first artists signed by Kosmo were Tom Novy , Tomcraft and Eniac. Producers and DJs such as Da Hool , Phil Fuldner , BBE , Niels van Gogh , Moguai , Nalin INC, Karotte and Sonique joined them later . Kosmo Records makes music by DJs for DJs, on the borderline between underground and overground. In addition, Kosmo Records has been building long-term international artists from the start, advising, promoting and marketing DJs and pop artists in a hybrid situation between label, publisher, production company and management.
In 2002 the label Konsum Records was founded for commercial dance and pop projects. Konsum Records was mainly responsible for the publication of the Novaspace and Blue Lagoon projects . The last release took place in 2011, after which the label work was stopped. The license catalog is still with Kosmo Music GmbH today.
