Band history

With a cover version of Matthew Wilder's hit Break My Stride from 1983, Blue Lagoon reached number two in the German single charts in September 2004.

Her second hit was also a cover version. Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? , originally a hit by Culture Club in 1982 , entered the German charts at number 13 in January 2005. At the same time, Blue Lagoon released their debut album Clublagoon , which, in addition to the covers of other classics, also contained some new self-written compositions.

In the summer of 2005, a cover version followed with the single Heartbreaker . The song was originally written in 1982 by the Bee Gees for Dionne Warwick , who had a worldwide success with it.

The single Isle of Paradise , released in the summer of 2006, was the first uncovered single.

In the winter of 2006, the single What Becomes of the Broken Hearted came out, which was again a remake. The original is by Jimmy Ruffin from 1966.

In mid-January 2007 the second longplayer Sentimental Fools was released , from which (after the three singles Heartbreaker , Isle of Paradise and What Becomes of the Broken Hearted ) no further singles were released.

In late July 2008, Blue Lagoon returned with the new single Wild World , a cover version of Cat Stevens' title .
