Rico Bernasconi (* 31 December 1970 in Fröndenberg ; bourgeois Alfonso Bernasconi ), also known as Rico Bass , one is German House - DJ with Italian roots.

Career

Bernasconi has been a DJ since 1986. During his career he used the pseudonym Rico Bass until 2008 and was or is a member of the bands BoomTown , Master Blaster and Vinylshakerz . With these bands he has several high chart positions in Europe.

Since 2008 he has only performed under the stage name Rico Bernasconi . With his second single under this alias, Love Deep Inside , released in early 2009 , which also reached number one on the VIVA Club Rotation Dance Charts, he reached the German single charts for the first time as a solo artist. In the same year he was able to increase this when he re-recorded their cover version of Cruel Summer together with Ace of Base and was able to reach number 69 in the German single charts. After that, many more tracks were released, which also regularly reach high positions in the German dance charts. However, one of his songs was not commercially successful until 2015. The single Ebony Eyes was his greatest success to date and reached number 28 in the German single charts .

Bernasconi is known for mainly releasing cover songs . But he also produced a few titles himself. He co-founded the Airbase Recordings label in 2004 , which also included some of his early releases. He releases most of his singles on Starshit Records and Kontor Records .
