Amphoe Phu Kradueng ( Thai : อำเภอ ภูกระดึง , pronunciation: ʔāmpʰɤ̄ː pʰūː krādɯ̄ŋ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of Loei Province . The province of Loei is located in the northwestern part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Adjacent counties and areas are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Phu Luang , Nong Hin and Pha Khao in the province of Loei, Amphoe Si Bun Rueang the province of Nong Bua Lamphu , the Amphoe Si Chomphu , Chum Phae and Phu Pha Man of the province Khon Kaen , as well as Amphoe Nam Nao in the province of Phetchabun .

history

Phu Kradueng was initially set up as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) on January 1, 1962 , by separating the three tambon Si Than, Puan Phu and Pha Khao from the Wang Saphung district . On July 16, 1963, it was promoted to Amphoe.

Phu Kradueng County is divided into four tambon (“subdistricts” or “parishes”), which are further divided into 54 muban (“villages”).

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Phu Kradueng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ภูกระดึง ) consisting of the parts of Tambon Si Than, Pha Nok Khao, Phu Kradueng.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Si Than (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ศรี ฐาน ) consisting of parts of the tambon Si Than.
  • Pha Nok Khao (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ผา นก เค้า ) consisting of parts of the tambon Pha Nok Khao.
  • Phu Kradueng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ภูกระดึง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Phu Kradueng.
  • Huai Som (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ห้วย ส้ม ) consisting of the complete tambon Huai Som.
