Amphoe Phana ( Thai : อำเภอ พนา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the province of Amnat Charoen . The province of Amnat Charoen is located in the eastern part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

Neighboring Amphoe are counted from the west: the Amphoe Lue Amnat , Mueang Amnat Charoen and Pathum Ratchawongsa of the province Amnat Charoen, as well as the Amphoe Trakan Phuet Phon , Lao Suea Kok and Muang Sam Sip in the province Ubon Ratchathani .

history

The history of the district goes back to the city ( Mueang ) Phana Nikhon ( พนา นิคม ), which was subordinate to the Mueang Ubon Ratchathani. In 1914 it was transformed into a district. The district administration was in Ban Khulu, which is now in the Trakan Phuet Phon district . On December 1, 1951, the western part of the district was separated and the subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) Phana was established. On July 22, 1959, Phana was promoted to Amphoe.

In 1993 Phana was one of the counties from which the new province of Amnat Charoen was created.

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Phana (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พนา ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Phana, Phra Lao.
  • Phra Lao (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พระ เหลา ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Phra Lao.

There are three municipalities with "Local Government Organization" ( Tambon Management Organizations ) status in the county:

  • Phana (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล พนา ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Phana.
  • Chan Lan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล จาน ลาน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chan Lan.
  • Mai clone (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ไม้ กลอน ) consisting of the complete Tambon Mai clone.
