Amphoe Hua Taphan ( Thai : อำเภอ หัวตะพาน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the southwest of the province of Amnat Charoen . The province of Amnat Charoen is located in the eastern part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Neighboring Amphoe are counted from the north: the Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen and Lue Amnat in the province of Amnat Charoen, the Amphoe Muang Sam Sip and Khueang Nai in the Ubon Ratchathani Province and Amphoe Kham Khuean Kaeo and Amphoe Pa Tio in the Province of Yasothon .

history

Hua Taphan was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on August 15, 1967 , by separating the four Tambon Hua Taphan, Kham Phra, Nong Kaeo and Kheng Yai from today's Amphoe Mueang Amnat Charoen . On November 17, 1971, Hua Taphan was promoted to Amphoe.

In 1993, Hua Taphan was one of the counties from which the new Amnat Charoen Province was created.

Amphoe Hua Taphan is divided into eight tambon ("subdistricts" or "communities"), which are further divided into 85 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Rattanawari Si Charoen (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล รัตน วารี ศรี เจริญ ) consisting of the parts of Tambon Hua Taphan, Rattanawari.
  • Kheng Yai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เค็ ง ใหญ่ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Kheng Yai.
  • Hua Taphan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัวตะพาน ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Hua Taphan, Nong Kaeo, Rattanawari.

There are five municipalities with "local government organization" status ( tambon administrative organizations ) in the county:

  • Kham Phra (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล คำ พระ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Kham Phra.
  • Nong Kaeo (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง แก้ว ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Nong Kaeo.
  • Phon Mueang Noi (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โพน เมือง น้อย ) consisting of the complete tambon Phon Mueang Noi.
  • Sang Tho Noi (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สร้าง ถ่อ น้อย ) consisting of the complete Tambon Sang Tho Noi.
  • Chik Du (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล จิก ดู่ ) consisting of the complete tambon Chik Du.
