Office Rotzis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rotzis office was a small royal Prussian domain office that belonged to the rule of Königs Wusterhausen . It was created in 1729 with the acquisition of the village of Rotzis (since 1938 Rotberg , today a part of the municipality in the Waltersdorf district of the municipality of Schönefeld ( Dahme-Spreewald district , Brandenburg)). It was converted into a rent office around 1836/39 and administered jointly with the Königs Wusterhausen office; but formally existed until 1872/74.

history

On June 5, 1727, the Brandenburg elector and king in Prussia, Friedrich Wilhelm I, bought the village and Vorwerk Kiekebusch from Major Ernst Ludwig von Beeren for 20,000 thalers . On June 2, 1729 followed the village and Vorwerk Rotzis , which was acquired by Major Gottfried Emanuel von Einsiedel for 32,000 thalers. The two villages were combined to form the Rotzis office. In addition, the Tollkrug was built on the official territory before 1800 , so that the Rotzis office comprised the following three settlements in 1817:

  • Rotzis (from 1938 Rotberg), village and Vorwerk
  • Kiekebusch, village and Vorwerk (from 1843/44 Vorwerk Karlshof )
  • Great mug or hungry wolf, mug

The Rotzis office of the reign of Königs Wusterhausen was not an ordinary Prussian domain office, i.e. state property, but like the entire reign of Königs Wusterhausen, it was owned by the ruling family of the Hohenzollern. The income from the reign of Königs Wusterhausen was used to enable the Crown Prince or subsequent Prince of the Hohenzollern to make a living in line with their status. In 1815 the Rotzis office generated a surplus of 2200 thalers, 17 groschen and 11 pfennigs. In 1819 the bailiff Johann Friedrich Christian Romanus received a lease for the Rotzis office. As early as 1821 Romanus received a general lease. Johann Friedrich Christian Romanus died in 1837. Thereupon Karl Christian Dierke also received a general lease contract for the Rotzis office in 1837.

The Rotzis office was converted into a rent office around 1836 and subordinated to the Königs Wusterhausen office or administered by the same rent official as the Königs Wusterhausen office. However, it was not formally dissolved, because the name still appears in the local statistics of the government district of Potsdam with the city of Berlin from 1861. On August 31, 1842, the manor and part of the village burned down. While the houses in the village were being rebuilt, the manor and farm buildings fell into disrepair or were not rebuilt. A new estate and tenant house was built in Karlshof in 1843/44. In 1850 the surplus of the office amounted to 1784 talers, 26 groschen and 6 pfennigs.

The outworks in Rotzis and Karlshof were leased separately in 1861. The Vorwerk in Rotzis already formed its own estate district before 1860, Karlshof initially belonged to the municipality of Kiekebusch; It was not until 1874 that Karlshof also formed its own manor district. In 1872 Rotzi's office was finally dissolved.
