The Marienberg District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of a total of 30 district courts in the Free State of Saxony .

Seat and District of the Court

The judicial district of the Marienberg District Court encompasses the area of ​​the former Middle Erzgebirgskreis and the former Annaberg district , whose district court was dissolved on December 31, 2012 as part of a judicial reform ( Section 1, Paragraph 4, Annex No. 17 of the Saxon Justice Act). The court has its seat in Marienberg, Zschopauer Straße 31.

Superior courts

The Chemnitz Regional Court is directly superior to the Marienberg District Court. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Dresden .
