Northeim District Court

The Northeim District Court is one of seven district courts in the Göttingen District Court. It is based in Northeim . The district court has a total of around 60 employees, including seven judges and ten judicial officers.

The jurisdiction of the district court Northeim includes the cities of Hardegsen , Moringen , Northeim and Uslar who spots Bodenfelde and Norten-Hardenberg , the community Katlenburg-Lindau and the unincorporated area Solling . The Northeim District Court thus has around 85,000 court residents . The superordinate court is the Göttingen Regional Court .

Former building of the district court

As a result of the judicial reform in the Kingdom of Hanover in 1852, the Northeim District Court was formed and subordinated to the Göttingen Higher Court . In 1859 the Hardegsen and Nörten district courts were dissolved and their districts were largely assigned to that of the Northeim district court. The district courts of Moringen and Uslar were dissolved in 1973/74 and their responsibilities were transferred to the Northeim AG.
