Warstein District Court
The District Court of Warstein is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of ten district courts (AG) in the district of the District Court of Arnsberg .
Seat and District of the Court
The court is based in Warstein in the Soest district . The 316 km² judicial district covers the area of the communities Warstein and Rüthen with around 38,000 inhabitants.
The Arnsberg District Court is responsible for keeping the commercial , cooperative and association registers as well as for insolvency proceedings from the district of the Warstein District Court . The District Court of Soest is responsible for matters relating to agriculture and lay judges in the Warstein District Court district.
building
The District Court of Warstein moved into its own building at Bergenthalstrasse 11 in 1965 . Until then it was housed in the old town hall.
Superior courts
The Arnsberg Regional Court is superordinate to the Warstein District Court. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court Hamm .
