Schmallenberg District Court
The Schmallenberg District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of ten district courts in the district of the Arnsberg District Court .
Seat and District of the Court
The court has its seat in Schmallenberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The 303 km² judicial district covers the area of the city of Schmallenberg with around 26,000 inhabitants.

Jurisdiction in the Fredeburg area has been documented since 1301. A district court with two judges was established in Fredeburg in 1879. The local court of Fredeburg was renamed the local court of Schmallenberg on January 1, 1975 as a result of the local government reform .
