Amy Pascal

Amy Beth Pascal (born March 25, 1958 in Los Angeles ) is an American manager and film producer .

From 2006 to 2015, she was co-chair of Sony Pictures Entertainment and the associated Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group . In this role, she oversaw all of the studio's development, production and marketing activities.

Career

In 2006, she was ranked 15th on the annual Top 100 Influential Women in Entertainment, published in the Hollywood Reporter . In 2009, Forbes named her 60th of the 100 most powerful women in the world.

After the Sony hack in November 2014, the hackers published Pascal's e-mails, among other things, including derogatory comments about President Barack Obama and various actors and directors. In February 2015, she was fired by Sony. Pascal announced that he would set up his own production company in May 2015, which will sign a four-year financing and distribution agreement with Sony.

In 2017 Pascal was involved in the production of Spider-Man: Homecoming . This was followed by Die Verlegerin (2017), Venom (2018) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).
