Anđeo Zvizdović (also Zvijezdović ; also Angelus ; * 1420 in Vrhbosna , † June 7, 1498 in Fojnica ) was a Franciscan and preacher against heresy and heresy .

He was superior ("Custos") of the Custody Bosna in the Vicarie Bosna Argentina of the Franciscan Order. After the execution of the last Bosnian king Stjepan Tomašević , Anđeo Zvizdović was the secular representative of the Bosnian people. In 1463 he negotiated with the Sultan Mehmed II . and obtained a document on the Milodraz field near Fojnica , which was issued by Islamic rulers on special occasions ( Ahidnâme ) and with which the Catholic clergy was legally recognized, which brought them under the protection of the sultan .

Zvizdović is assigned a great responsibility for the continuation and survival of the long-established Christian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina . In the Martyrologium franciscanum he is referred to as Blessed . His remains are in the church of the monastery in Fojnica.
