An Sang-mi ( kor. 안상미 ; born November 12, 1979 ) is a South Korean short tracker .

Career

An won the all- around event at the 1997 Short Track Junior World Championships in Marquette . At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , she won the relay gold together with Chun Lee-kyung , Won Hye-kyung and Kim Yoon-mi in a world record time . In individual disciplines she won gold over 1000 m and bronze over 3000 m at the 2001 Winter Universiade in Zakopane .

An became world champion with the team and in the individual discipline over 3000 m. With the team she was first world champion in 1995 at the team world championships in Zoetermeer , which she was able to repeat in 1996 and 1997 . She became world champion in a single discipline in 2000 in Sheffield over 3000 m.

She started in the 1998/99 and 1999/00 seasons in the Short Track World Cup and was able to achieve four podium positions in the individual and relay disciplines and came second in the competitions of the 1999/2000 season in Gothenburg .
