Chun Lee-kyung (born January 6, 1976 in Gyeongsangbuk-do ) is a short track runner from South Korea . She is the second most successful athlete at the Winter Olympics in the relatively new short track discipline, just behind Wang Meng , who has one more silver medal (in the men's category, Wiktor Ahn has one more bronze medal).
Career
Her first Olympic participation was in 1992 in Albertville . She was then 16 years old. She took part in the 500 m run and finished twelfth there. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , she won gold in the short track over 1000 m and with the 3000 m relay. To run over 500 meters, she finished in 15th place four years later at the games in Nagano could defend both gold medals. She also won the bronze medal in the 500 m.
Between 1995 and 1997 she also won the world championships three times .
