Ana Carrasco Gabarrón (born March 10, 1997 in Cehegín , Murcia ) is a Spanish motorcycle racer .

Life

Her father was a mechanic in a motorcycle racing stable and often took her daughter to work. At the age of three, Carrasco was riding a children's bike with a motor. At 14, she won a race in the Spanish 125cc class for the first time. In the 2017 Supersport 300 World Championship , Carrasco won the race at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on September 17, 2017 , becoming the first woman to finish first in a World Championship race. On a Kawasaki Ninja 400 , she won the Supersport 300 World Championship title in 2018 . Carrasco was the first woman to win a world title in motorcycle racing.
