The Kawasaki Ninja 400 was introduced at the end of 2017 as the successor to the Kawasaki Ninja 300 ; Marketing in Germany will begin in January 2018.

Compared to its predecessor, the engine has been revised, the displacement increased from 296 to 399 cm³ and the output from 39 to 45 hp .
