The GPZ 305 is a small motorcycle that was built by Kawasaki in Japan between 1983 and 1991 . The engine has 306 cm³ and 20 kW (27 PS) or 25 kW (34 PS - rare version with shorter throttle valves ). There was also a version with a chain drive and one with a toothed belt (belt drive).

technology

  • Ignition - It is remarkable that the GPZ already has electronic ignition using CDI, despite its age. This has the advantage that no contacts in an ignition distributor can oxidize.
  • Toothed belt drive - The GPZ 305 was mainly delivered with a belt drive (i.e. as a belt drive). This is very low-maintenance and has a service life of approx. 40,000 km.
  • Carburetor - A Keihin CV32 double carburetor was installed in the GPZ. This was available with short (34 hp) and long (27 hp) throttle valves .
