KMX 125

The KMX 125 was introduced to the market in 1986. It was motorized until production was discontinued, with a liquid-cooled, diaphragm-controlled two-stroke engine , which had a mechanical exhaust control (KIPS - Kawasaki Integrated Powervalve System). In addition, a disc brake system was used at the front and rear of the KMX . At the time of its market launch, the KMX was technically far superior to the 125 competition, which mostly still built air-cooled motors without exhaust control and drum brakes in their models.

In 1999 the KMX was redesigned, the tank wings were widened on the left and right, the strap on the seat was removed and the luggage rack was supplemented with handles. In addition, the overflow channels were rounded off and the claw footrests were replaced by rubber footrests. A larger tread surface was also attached to the brake lever for the foot brake. The KMX also received a few cosmetic changes in the cockpit.

The last technical changes were made with the 2001 model. The overflow channels were revised again and stronger piston rings were installed. Every year the KMX got a new outfit in the form of new decorations.

KMX 200

The KMX 200 was introduced to the market in 1988 with the identification number MX200-A2 . In 1989 the new model MX200-A3 / A3A was introduced. This was given new dimensions and thus increased slightly in weight. The brake disc has also been revised . This got stronger and got a new hole pattern. Furthermore, the brake disc was provided with an additional cover.
