History and technology
Kawasaki announced the Ninja H2 on September 1, 2014, and presented the more powerful version Ninja H2R at the Intermot in Cologne on September 30, 2014. The four-cylinder engine of the Ninja H2, identical in construction to the engine of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R , has been upgraded with a compressor . The chassis consists of a tubular space frame , a 43 mm upside-down fork on the front wheel and a single-sided swing arm on the rear wheel. The superbike rolls on 120/70 ZR17 (front) and 200/55 ZR17 (rear) tires. The Ninja H2 , which was shown for the first time at the EICMA 2014 in Milan in November 2014, is offered at a price of 25,000 euros .
Ninja H2R
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R , which is built exclusively for use on closed racetracks, has a tuned engine that generates 228 kW (310 hp ) at 14,000 rpm and a sound pressure level of 120 dB / A after 16 hours of operation over 8,000 rpm Service inspection needed. Only the tires Bridgestone Racing Battlax V01F Soft (front) and Bridgestone Racing Battlax V01R Medium (rear) are approved by Kawasaki . The distinguishing features of the H2R, which at 50,000 euros costs twice as much as the H2, are the compressor, a smaller exhaust system (rear silencer) and a modified fairing.
