The ZZR 1400 ABS is a sports touring motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki . It is sold as the Ninja ZX-14 in the American market .

With the ZZR 1400, which was launched on the German market in mid-2006, Kawasaki developed the most powerful production motorcycle in the sports touring sector at the time . It replaces the ZX-12 R and ZZ-R 1200 .

The ZZR 1400 ABS u. a. the quadruple headlights and the air ducts on the side of the fairing. The central ram-air air intake should, according to the factory specifications (2010 brochure), ensure a peak output of 149.5 kW (203 hp) at maximum speed. The motorcycle accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.9 s and to 200 km / h in 7.2 s. As a special technical feature, the ZZR 1400 ABS, like the ZX-12 R, uses a light metal monocoque frame. What is striking about a motorcycle of this class are the steep steering head angle and the short caster, which ensure agile handling.

In Germany, the ZZR 1400 ABS is offered as standard with ABS and a regulated catalytic converter .
