The Supersport 300 World Championship is a racing class for near-series motorcycles . The first season was officially held as a world championship in 2017 under the umbrella of the FIM . The races take place as part of the Superbike World Championship . Initially only on the European racetracks , in the future it will also be used internationally.
Rules and regulations
The class was created as an entry-level class for the Superbike World Championship. Young talent should be found and promoted. The minimum age for participation is 15 years.

- Each driver may use a maximum of two sets of dry tires or one set of rain tires per race.
- The number of engines is not limited.
- The engines must largely correspond to the homologated version.
- There are three options for the ECU :
- The homologated version can be used without any changes.
- The homologated version can be used with an external injection module removed from the FIM.
- An ECU from FIM, the so-called World SSP 300 Kit , can be used.
- The following components can be removed:
- Components that are installed mainly because of emissions . For example the lambda probe .

- Chain guard as long as it does not form a unit with the rear wheel cover.

- A red, working kill switch
- The oil drain plug must be secured.
- Any ventilation or overflow lines must have appropriate collecting devices.
- If not available, an oil pressure warning light must be installed.
