Anaconda - Offspring is an American movie from the year 2008 . It is a sequel to the film Anaconda and Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid . Anaconda - Offspring was produced as a television film and then released on DVD. In Germany it was released directly on DVD on November 18, 2008.

Two giant anacondas break out of a laboratory. There the snakes were injected with drugs and other substances and given them to eat in order to find out why these substances only work on snakes. The scientist Murdoch paid for the costs and is shocked to learn that the huge snakes, made aggressive by the serum, have broken out and killed countless scientists while they were fleeing. He calls in a team to recapture the snakes, including group leader Hammet, better known as the snake hunter .
Gradually, however, the team members become victims of the aggressive snakes from which the female was pregnant. Hammet and Dr. Haze are herded into a building where the female gave birth to her young. The two manage to blow up the building and kill the snakes. However, a snake cub can be rescued and brought to him by Murdoch's men, leaving the screenwriters with a point of contact for the film's sequel, Anacondas: Trail of Blood .
