Anaconda - Trail of Blood is an American movie from the year 2009 . It is a sequel to the films Anaconda , Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and Anaconda - Offspring and was produced as a television film and then released on DVD. In Germany it was released directly on DVD on June 18, 2019.

The super-rich magnate Murdoch is terminally ill, but he knows the serum from the blood orchid , which regenerates cells and extends life, and he instructs a scientist to develop a serum for him from it. This tests the serum in an anaconda . Overnight the baby snake grows into a giant monster snake that is big and hungry enough to eat the good doctor before it goes on a rampage, refreshed. Because the scientist has not contacted me, Murdoch hires a team to find the serum and harvest the blood orchids. At the same time, the attractive herpetologist Dr. Amanda Hayes in search of it: She wants to destroy it and kill the dangerous animals that she herself helped to create. She leads a team of young scientists against Murdoch's ice-cold gang of armed thugs to get the coveted orchids to safety before the dangerous snake hits both parties. The aggressive reptile seems invincible, glides unscathed through explosions and firefights and regenerates itself every time anew in order to insatiable devour everything that stands in its way.
