Anastasios Papazoglou ( Greek Αναστάσιος Παπάζογλου , born September 24, 1988 in Serres ) is a Greek football player who is currently under contract with Skoda Xanthi . He prefers to play in defense as a central defender .

Career

The 1.83 meter tall midfielder began his career in 2007 with the Panserraikos club . There he also worked as captain and later went from midfielder to defender . His performance impressed the technical director of the Greek club Olympiakos Piraeus . On August 30, 2010, he signed a five-year contract. However, due to his impressive performance, he was immediately awarded to the club Panserraikos, with which he had previously been under contract for four years. In the summer of 2011 he announced his return to the Olympiacos club. His contract ended on July 23, 2014 and since it was not renewed, he had to turn his back on the club. He switched to the APOEL Nicosia association . He made his debut in a qualifier for the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League against HJK Helsinki , which the club won 2-0. He played his only game for UEFA on December 10, 2014 at the game against Ajax Amsterdam in the Amsterdam Arena . On February 1, 2015 the contract with the club expired. Since the move he has been under contract for the Skoda Xanthi club .
