Anastasius Falck
Anastasius Falck , baptismal name: Benedictus Ignatius Falck (born April 9, 1706 in Donaumünster ; † June 9, 1761 in Augsburg ), was a Bavarian Carmelite monk and prior.
Life
Falck was born the fourteenth of fifteen children of the Prefect of Donaumünster and later Fuggerian caretaker at Schloss Duttenstein Johann Augustin Falck and his wife Anna Catharina and was baptized on April 11, 1706 with the name Benedictus Jgnatius .
In 1724 he entered the Carmelite order in Munich , where he took the name of the order Anastasius a Cruce . After he was ordained a priest in 1730, he taught philosophy and theology for several years in the Carmelite monastery in Augsburg . In 1742 he temporarily served as prior or regent of the Schongau monastery and last held the office of provincial definitor of the Bavarian Franciscans in Augsburg. He was the author of numerous theological writings and edited a number of, mostly insignificant, little things, and made a number of epigrams and inscriptions in Latin or German verse for copperplate engravings and images of saints. Falck died in 1761 in the Carmelite monastery in Augsburg.
His older brother was the episcopal sealer and election notary for Augsburg Franz Philipp Falck (died August 22, 1686 in Donaumünster). One of his nephews was the prefect of the Fugger-Wellenburg rule in Welden Remigius Christian Raffalt (born April 21, 1715 in Violau ).
