action

Yuri Suzuki, a 15-year-old Japanese middle school student, has just got her first kiss from her boyfriend Himuro when she is dragged into the past by eerie arms through a puddle after going to the cinema with him. There, in ancient Anatolia at the time of the Hittites and the Egyptian pharaoh Tutenchamun , Queen Nakia wants to make her own son Judah king, but first the other five princes - all of whom have different mothers - have to be eliminated. To achieve this, she wants to cast a deadly curse on the princes, for which she wants to use Yuri, whom she has kidnapped from her time with her magical powers, as a human sacrifice.

Kail (historically Kail Mursili II. ), The third-born prince of the realm, saves Yuri from the queen and promises to bring her back to her homeland, but for Yuri to return she must overcome many obstacles. To protect her, Kail declares Yuri to be the incarnation of Ishtar , the Mesopotamian goddess of war and love, and his personal lover. Over time, Yuri and Kail fall violently in love and often have to assert themselves against the intrigues of Nakia and the political unrest of this era, which in this story are mostly instigated by Nakia herself; in her efforts to rebalance these conspiracies, Yuri made a decisive contribution to the historical development of the Hittite Empire at that time. In the end, both succeed in rendering Nakia harmless, even if it costs many victims; Yuri decides to stay in Anatolia for the rest of her life and in the end is crowned Tawananna, Queen of the Empire.
