Andaraí is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Bahia , Brazil . An estimated 13,143 (2019) inhabitants live there on an area of 1,861.66 km² . 7.5 people live in one square kilometer .
Origin of name
The name of the city is borrowed from the language of the indigenous Tupi-Guaraní and goes back to the words andira , bat, and 'y , river, and was probably inspired by the bats that live in numerous caves in the area.
