Per Anders Andersson (born March 15, 1974 in Tomelilla ) is a former Swedish football player .
Career
Club career
Andersson played as a youth at Svenstorps IF . In 1990 he moved to the youth department of Malmö FF . Here he made his debut on October 13, 1991 in the Allsvenskan . He quickly became a regular player and attracted international interest. In the summer of 1997 he moved to the FA Premier League for the Blackburn Rovers . Here, however, he was unable to assert himself and only made four first division appearances.
For the 1998/99 season Andersson moved to Denmark to Aalborg BK . Here he became Danish champions in his first year with the team. In 2001 he moved to southern Europe and signed with Benfica Lisbon . During the 2003/04 season he moved within the SuperLiga to local rivals Belenenses Lisbon .
In 2005 Andersson returned to Sweden to Malmö FF. In December 2008 he announced the end of his playing career. In autumn 2011 he started training as a trainer alongside Erik Edman , Tobias Linderoth , Christoffer Andersson and Marcus Lantz .
National team career
Andersson played for several national selections. He played 27 full internationals for Sweden . He took part in EURO 2000 and EURO 2004 .
He also ran for several youth selections, including 24 times for the U21 national team. He was part of the Swedish selection at the 1992 Olympic Games .
