Christoffer Andersson (born October 22, 1978 in Kalmar ) is a Swedish football player . The defensive player, who played for the Swedish national team between 2000 and 2006 , won the Swedish championship title with Helsingborgs IF in 1999 and 2011 .

Career

Andersson started playing football at Nybro IF . In 1997 he moved to the youth department of Helsingborgs IF , where he made his debut in 1998 in the Allsvenskan . In the 1999 season he was able to win the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish champions with the team and a year later he made his debut in the Swedish national team.

In 2004 Andersson moved to the Norwegian club Lillestrøm SK in the Tippeligaen for free . Under coach Uwe Rösler , he reached fourth place with the team and thus qualified for the Royal League . In 2005 he was with the team in the Norwegian Cup final against Molde FK , which was lost with a 2-4 defeat after extra time.

For the season Bundesliga 2006/07 season, Andersson moved for some 200,000 euro transfer fee to Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga . He made his first division debut in Germany on August 19, 2006 in the away game in Berlin against Hertha BSC . However, he could not really prevail and after a half series he returned to Sweden to Helsingborgs IF in January 2007 .

At his new employer, Andersson developed into a regular goalscorer in the 2008 season and finished second in the club's internal goalscorer list with nine goals this season behind Henrik Larsson . He helped the club to fourth place in the league and thus to qualify for the Royal League and the first qualifying round for the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League . Although he did not reach the number of hits in the following years, he was set as a regular player and played all 30 games of the season in the 2010 season. He led the team to the runner-up, in the final of the national cup , Hammarby IF was also defeated by a 1-0 victory. In the following season he temporarily moved into the second line under coach Conny Karlsson , but still made 24 season appearances. He was one of the guarantors for winning the triple from the Swedish championship title, winning the national cup and the Supercup again .

Therefore, the club extended the expiring contract with Andersson in the summer of 2010 until the end of 2013. In the following years he also ran regularly in the top division of Sweden under Karlsson's successors Åge Hareide and Roar Hansen , but the club could not build on the successes and succeeded in the middle of the table. In December 2013 he extended the contract with the "veteran" for another year.

After Helsingborgs IF had signaled that they were not interested in continuing to work with Andersson, Andersson looked for a new club. In November 2014, he reached an agreement with league rivals Halmstads BK , which he joined in early 2015.
