Johan von Höpken is different.

Anders Johan von Höpken (born March 31, 1712 in Stockholm ; † May 9, 1789 ibid) was a Swedish politician, imperial councilor and co-founder of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences . He was President of the State Chancellery ( Kunglig Majestäts kansli ) between 1752 and 1761 and was Imperial Councilor between 1746 and 1761 and 1773 and 1780. Domestically, von Höpken was a supporter of the Hattarne .

Life

First he studied from 1728 to 1730 at Uppsala University . Subsequently, von Höpken worked as an attaché to the Swedish embassy in London between 1730 and 1732 and then went on a study trip to Holland, France, Italy and Germany. From 1738 he was a member of the Swedish State Council .

He was one of six founding members of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1739.

He was married to Ulrika Eleonora Sparre (1724-1747), a daughter of the Swedish admiral and Count Claes Sparre .
