Anders Krohn (born November 15, 1987 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian racing driver . He participated in the Indy Lights from 2010 to 2012 .

Career

Krohn began his motorsport career in kart racing in 1996 at the age of eight . Since he was only allowed to take part in kart races in Norway when he was eleven, he initially started kart races in Great Britain and Sweden. Krohn remained active in karting until 2006 and won several championship titles. Among other things, he was Norwegian ICA kart champion in 2003, Norwegian Formula A kart champion in 2004, Nordic ICC kart champion in 2005 and Norwegian ICC kart champion in 2006.

After finishing eleventh in the Swedish Junior Touring Car Championship (JTCC), a touring car championship, in 2006, Krohn switched to formula racing in 2007 . With 6 victories from 13 races, he was runner- up behind Francesco Pastorelli in the Benelux Formula Ford . In 2008, Krohn took part in two other races in this series and finished 21st overall. His main focus, however, was on a different racing series: Krohn switched to the North American F2000 Championship Series . Starting for Andersen Racing , the racing driver won 9 of 14 races and won the title fight with 570 to 422 points against his teammate Jonny Baker . In 2009, Krohn moved to the Star Mazda Series at Mundill . He won a race and finished the season in sixth place in the drivers' standings. 2010 Krohn stayed in this championship and returned to Andersen Racing. Although he didn't win a race and three second places were his best results, Krohn was runner-up behind Conor Daly . He also made his debut for his team in the Indy Lights and finished 29th in the drivers' championship with one start .

In 2011 , Krohn competed in the Indy Lights for Belardi Auto Racing . Two fifth places were his best results and he finished the season in seventh place. Internally he was defeated by Jorge Goncalvez with 333 to 371 points. In 2012 , Krohn competed in two Indy Lights races for Bryan Herta Autosport . He was 20th in the drivers' championship. He also took part in a race in the Rolex Sports Car Series .

Because of its Norwegian origin Krohn was nicknamed "The Viking" ( "The Viking" ).
