András Kiss Nagy

András Kiss Nagy (born March 22, 1930 in Pusztaföldvár , Orosháza , Békés County ; † January 30, 1997 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian sculptor and medalist . His signature was KAI as a monogram.

Life

Between 1949 and 1957 he studied at the Repin Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad and at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. He completed his training as a sculptor and medalist with a diploma in fine arts.

Kiss Nagy died in Budapest in 1997 and is buried in the Farkasréti temető, the Farkasrét cemetery , grave number 25-7-47 / 1. The funerary sculpture was created by Mária Lugossy (1950–2012).

Act

Since 1947 he has contributed to all major Hungarian exhibitions and his medals were regularly on display at FIDEM .
