András Siebold

András Siebold (* 1976 in Zurich , Switzerland ) is a German-Swiss dramaturge and curator . Since 2013 he has directed the International Summer Festival at Kampnagel .

Career

András Siebold studied cultural studies and philosophy at the HU Berlin . After several years as the personal assistant to Robert Wilson , studio manager for Nan Goldin and employee for the Galerie Nordenhake in Berlin, he was hired by Stefan Bachmann as a dramaturge for his production Der Seidene Schuh at the Basel Theater in 2002 . From 2003 to 2007 András Siebold was dramaturge at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden , in addition to opera and concert dramaturgies, his focus there was on projects with artists such as Jimmie Durham , Gregor Schneider , Herzog & de Meuron and the author Jonathan Safran Foer . With the newly appointed director Amelie Deuflhard , András Siebold went to Kampnagel in 2007 as head dramaturge , where he has been the artistic director of the International Summer Festival since 2013 and continues to be responsible for the music program of the Kampnagel season. In 2017 he was also a member of the four-man board of trustees of the Theater der Welt festival in Hamburg with artists such as Wael Shawky , he has a teaching position at the Theaterakademie Hamburg , has been on the jury for the Boy Gobert Prize since 2011 and a member of the board of Hamburg since 2008 Art association . András Siebold lives with his partner, the author Laura de Weck , and their two children in Hamburg.
