André Gahinet

André Gahinet (born October 12, 1941 ) is a former French car racing driver who competed under the pseudonym Segolen .

Career in motorsport

André Gahinet began his career in French touring and sports car races in the late 1960s. In 1970 he drove his first international race when he competed in the Tour de France for automobiles of that year . In 1975 he made his debut in the Le Mans 24-hour race . The Porsche 911SC , whose steering he shared with Jean-Yves Gadal , retired after six laps with ignition damage.

He celebrated his first finish at Le Mans in 1976 when he finished twelfth in the overall standings and won the GT racing class . This 12th place was also Gahinet's best place in this endurance race . At the beginning of the 2000s he entered the French GT championship and ended his racing career after the end of the 2002 racing season.
