André Reithebuch (born October 27, 1986 ) is Mister Switzerland of the year 2009.

Life

Reithebuch is a carpenter by trade . He was elected Mister Switzerland on May 2, 2009 at the Centro Esposizioni in Lugano . Reithebuch continued to practice his profession as a carpenter even after his election.

Reithebuch earned around 450,000 Swiss francs in his year in office . In doing so, he overtook the ex-Mister Renzo Blumenthal , who had previously been leading , who had earned around 420,000 Swiss francs. Reithebuch was able to achieve this result, in particular due to numerous event bookings, where he was repeatedly invited as a VIP guest . Reithebuch, who, by his own account, is heterosexual , wanted to take part in the Europride in Zurich as a guest shortly after winning the title . However, the organizing committee of Mister Switzerland forbade him to do so, on the grounds that the rumor of possible homosexuality of Mister Switzerland should not be rekindled, as was the case with Reithebuch's predecessor Stephan Weiler .

Reithebuch suffers from a congenital weakness in reading and writing . He was often portrayed as illiterate in the tabloids . Reithebuch hit the headlines several times because of its poor general education .

Reithebuch lives in Linthal in the canton of Glarus . He is currently (as of June 2011) single . From July 2011 he will take on a guest role at Thuner Seespiele in the musical Gotthelf - the musical . He embodies the silent but dramaturgically not unimportant role of the dairyman, an attractive villager who has been brought in and is sought after by the women of the village. He shares his role with Vice- Mister Switzerland 2011, Michel De Carolis .
