André Signoretti (born January 16, 1979 in Manotick , Ontario ) is a former Italo - Canadian ice hockey player .

Career

André Signoretti began his career as an ice hockey player at Ohio State University , which he attended from 1997 to 2001, while he also played for their ice hockey team in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association . During the 2000/01 season , the defender made his professional ice hockey debut for the Charlotte Checkers from the ECHL . At the same time he played two games for the Houston Eros in the International Hockey League . During the 2001/02 season he ran again as a regular for Charlotte in the ECHL. From 2002 to 2005 the left-shooter played for SHC Fassa in the Italian Serie A1 before he was active for their league rivals SG Cortina for a year . The Italian-Canadian then spent two years at Herning Blue Fox , with whom he won the Danish championship in 2006/07 and 2007/08 . He was able to repeat this success in the 2008/09 season with SønderjyskE Ishockey .

From 2009 Signoretti played for the GCK Lions in the National League B , the second Swiss division. In the 2009/10 season he also denied six games for their cooperation partners ZSC Lions of the National League A . In November 2013 he switched to the Italian Elite.A , where he signed with Asiago Hockey . He finally let his career end from 2014 to 2016 with league rivals HC Valpellice .

International

For Italy , Signoretti took part in the World Championships in Division I in 2005 and the World Championships in 2007 and 2008 . He was also in his country's squad at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .
