André Wiwerink (born October 15, 1980 in Neuenkirchen ) is a former German soccer player . He is a defender and most recently played for the regional division Sportfreunde Lotte .

Career

Wiwerink began his career with the youth teams of TuS St. Arnold and SuS Neuenkirchen . Later he signed the FC Schalke 04 and let him play in his 2nd team in the Oberliga Westfalen . From Schalke he then moved to Oberhausen to the then North Rhine-Westphalian upper division club Adler Osterfeld and then to 1. FC Kleve . From there he moved to the second division club Rot-Weiss Essen . There he played two appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga , before he signed a contract with Wuppertaler SV in 2005 . Wiwerink stayed there for three years, also as a regular player for a long time, before surprisingly no more plans were made with him and he then joined his old Wuppertal coach Wolfgang Jerat at the new NRW league club Bonner SC . For the 2010/11 season Wiwerink moved to the Regionalliga West to Sportfreunde Lotte . There he completed 67 games for the club in the following two years, in which he scored four goals before it was announced on May 30, 2012 that Wiwerink would return to Wuppertaler SV. During the winter break, however, he left the Wuppertaler SV again, as President Friedhelm Runge gave all players the option of an early change due to lack of sporting success, and returned to Lotte, the sports fanatics. Wiwerink received a contract there until 2014, but he moved up to the sports friends' assistant coaching staff in the summer of 2013 and is now aiming for his coaching license.
