Andrea Bellosi

Andrea Bellosi (* 1944 in Florence ) is an Italian industrial designer . He was also involved in the restoration of numerous historical buildings in Florence.

Life

Bellosi studied at the art school Istituto statale d'arte di Firenze and graduated there in 1962 with a diploma as Maestro d'Arte .

In the 1970s he worked with the creative groups Archizoom and Superstudio in Florence. In 1978 he designed a sculpture lamp made of Carrara marble and marquina quartz with the French title Arc En Ciel (rainbow), which guides the white light of a halogen lamp through an optical prism and thus onto a projection surface (for example on a wall in the interior) Depicts the light spectrum as a rainbow . The object was produced by Studio Alchimia and was particularly popular in West Germany . The edition was limited to 4000 copies. Other Bellosi product designs have titles such as:
