Andrea Keszler (born July 28, 1989 in Tatabánya ) is a Hungarian short tracker .

Career

She has been competing in international junior competitions since 2003, the year before she was accepted into the Hungarian national team. Her first international championship in the adult area was the 2007 European Championship in Sheffield . There she reached the final as a member of the Hungarian relay team, but where it was disqualified. In the same year, Keszler competed in the team world championships in Budapest , where she and her teammates reached sixth place. In the following year, Keszler reached the final again with the relay at the European Championships in Ventspils , but the quartet did not appear there due to injury and finally came in fifth.

In the 2008/09 season , Keszler made his debut in the World Cup. Her best results in individual races were several quarter-finals. At the European Championships in Turin in 2009 , she won the gold medal with the relay and thus her first international title. In the 2009/10 season , Keszler started in two World Cup races, but without achieving any top positions. At the European Championships in Dresden she was fourth again with the relay, at the Team World Championships in Bormio she reached fifth. Keszler qualified for the Olympics in Vancouver . She started with the season that came fifth. In the 2011/12 season , Keszler also achieved success in individual races for the first time. At the European Championships in Mladá Boleslav she won the bronze medal over 500 m. She was seventh in the all-around competition. In addition, she was able to fight for the bronze medal with the relay. At the 2014 European Championships in Dresden, she won the bronze medal with the relay. In February 2014, she finished 28th in the 500m and sixth place with the relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . In the 2015/16 season she came on the podium for the first time in the World Cup in Dresden with second place in the relay. At the 2016 European Championships in Sochi, she finished fourth in the relay. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she won third place with the relay at the World Cup in Calgary . At the European Championships 2017 in Turin and at the World Championships 2017 in Rotterdam , she won the silver medal with the relay.
