Andreas-Peter Weber

Andreas-Peter Weber (* 1961 in Kassel ) is a German journalist . Since September 2011 he has been program director of Deutschlandradio .

Life

After graduating from high school, Weber did alternative civilian service. He then worked as a German teacher in Japan before studying politics, constitutional law and German studies at the Universities of Bonn and Freiburg. The degree followed in 1990 (Magister artium).

During his studies in Bonn , Weber worked as a freelance journalist for various radio agencies and radio stations.

From 1992 to 1997 he was the personal advisor to the directors of the Saarländischer Rundfunk , Manfred Buchwald and Fritz Raff . He also headed the ARD department at SR. In 1992 he also became the managing director of the Franco-German Journalism Award .

Since 1997, Andreas-Peter Weber has been the program director of SR 1 Europawelle , since 1999 he has also been in charge of the SR youth wave “ 103.7 UnserDing ” (until 2003: “UnserDing”).

On June 1, 2006 Weber switched to Hessischer Rundfunk , where he replaced Christian Gramsch as the waveguide for hr1 . Since 2009, Andreas-Peter Weber has also been a member of the “HR 2020” strategy group on the management board of Hessischer Rundfunk.

On September 1, 2011, he replaced Günter Müchler as program director of Deutschlandradio , who was retiring.
